पठार जनजातीय की ‛िाक्षा की स्थिति और समस्याएं एक समाज‛ाास्त्रीय अध्ययन
Abstract
Education is a fundamental requirement for the development of any individual and family. Without education, a person cannot establish himself or herself as a successful individual in society. Therefore, the present study attempts to examine the educational status and problems of students belonging to the Padhar tribal community residing in the Nalkantha region. The main objective of this study is to understand the socio-economic conditions behind school dropout among students, the dropout rate, various educational problems, parents' attitudes toward education, and the realities of the social environment. Thereafter, research methodology and various research techniques and methods have been employed. In addition, a review of previous studies and a presentation of the study area have been included. Primary data were collected from the respondents covered under the study through personal interviews and face-to-face interactions. An attempt has been made to classify and analyze the collected information. Furthermore, the findings of the study have also been included, such as the fact that the dropout rate in the Padhar tribal community is very high. To reduce this dropout rate, various aspects of the Padhar tribal community should be incorporated into the curriculum to make it more attractive. In addition, the attitude of parents toward education in the Padhar community is found to be predominantly negative (about 80%). Thus, this study clearly indicates that it is a highly reliable source for understanding Padhar tribal students, through which an authentic picture of the social, economic, cultural, and overall educational institutions of the tribal community can be obtained.
